“Cityscape” is the first mini-album from self-proclaimed studiofreak Mike Luck, a DJ and producer hailing from Utrecht, Netherlands. A quick visit to his Soundcloud page reveals an assuredly talented producer that borrows as he pleases from a myriad of genres. Elements of disco, house, dub, indie and more are all present in Luck’s own particular take on electronica, giving his output a decidedly West Coast vibe whilst retaining a foundation of European house sensibilities. If “Cityscape” is the album’s title, then trying to guess which city he conveys best is definitely part of the fun.
“Last time we were actually planning to take it easy, but it didn’t really work out. Loads of balloons and confetti flying around, music that makes you go lulu and a crazy crowd were some of the reasons why. We had a great time too, so we thought that there should be a second round for “Ease”.
“Trusting Me” is the new single from Kris Menace featuring House legend, Robert Owens and is taken the critically acclaimed vocal album, “Features“.
“Before meeting Kris I felt a warmth listening to his music. I imagined a beautiful person inside and out. Meeting him confirmed my belief and I have to say this is what you’ll find upon listening to his album… it’s just amazing”, recalls Robert Owens.
NICKEL is the project of one Robert Nickel and he crafts some of the most euphoric, radical new music around. Made with the freeform attitude of classic techno visionaries, the fuck-you braggadocio of Berlin in the nineties, the cast-iron integrity of punk and the headlong desperate rush of rave, it’s untamed music for the moment.
2013 sees NICKEL unleash his aural onslaught in the form of “ZYGZM”, a thumping bass laden beast of a tune out on hotly tipped label, Police Records this winter.
After releasing “Yearning” on DFA Records, arguably one of the most influential disco tracks in recent memory and “Moments of excellence” with Holy Ghost! on Permanent Vacation Records, Black Van aka Kris Menace & koweSix return with hot new single, “Inside” on a brand new label, Excellent Music.
“Inside” looks set to be another highlight and has the true, traditional Menace & Six feel written all over it. The single package comes with stellar remixes from Munk (Gomma) and LA duo, Oliver (Kitsune), delivering their best remix to date.
It’s summer 2011 in Ghent, the legendary Belgian town that spawned 2 Many DJs, Eskimo, The Glimmers…when a boy dj and a girl singer collide to create Shindu, a duo all about fun and passion for pop/electronic music. Flemings Chibi and Christopher explode on the scene with their debut single “Happy House“ on Kitsuné, an astute rendition of the Siouxsie & The Banshees hit, produced with Moonlight Matters.
