Born in northwestern France, Louis Roche a.k.a Madame have been delivering club oriented techno for quite some time now although still very young. With releases on GND and Blood Music …
NICKEL is the project of one Robert Nickel and he crafts some of the most euphoric, radical new music around. Made with the freeform attitude of classic techno visionaries, the fuck-you braggadocio of Berlin in the nineties, the cast-iron integrity of punk and the headlong desperate rush of rave, it’s untamed music for the moment.
2013 sees NICKEL unleash his aural onslaught in the form of “ZYGZM”, a thumping bass laden beast of a tune out on hotly tipped label, Police Records this winter.
Hotly tipped French alt house hero, Nicolas Nekmouche aka DONOVANS launches his very own label, 11Heads Records this November and will release a special introductory mixtape showcasing a mystery track at the end, that is the first official release of the label.
Donovans ruled the Parisian club scene, churning out sought after remixes for wide range of established acts, often sharing the same stage with them stamping their imitable brand of future house across Europe. Donovans releases can be found on labels like Turbo Recordings, Fool’s Gold, Southern Fried and Cheap Thrills.
“Galactic” pays homage to the masters of outer-space infused electronica, Daft Punk. “Galactic” is a first glimpse into an upcoming album, which will be released next year, also on BMKLTSCH RCRDS.
There are also a brace of official “Galactic” remixes up for grabs. These treats are supplied by melodic house producer Broke One and prolific Bristolian production duo Simpson & Behling.
This year he’s released music and remixes on Fool’s Gold, Enchufada, Rising Music, Dim Mak and now he is back with a new single once again on U&A.
Dodging the generic tedium of much of today’s EDM, he continues to form new sonic shapes with his trademark indie-beats and sex-infused buzzsaw bass. On his newest opus ‘Easy White Boy‘ he knocks socks off & bares all with fearsome stripped back grooves.
To ready fans for his debut long-player, Fake Blood drops the ‘YES/NO’ EP today. The EP features the fan-favourite Yes/No – a haunting piano riff builds into a refrain of the title, combined with trademark juggernautbass line. End of Days is an apocalyptic techno opus that has been causing mayhem in recent Fake Blood DJ sets. Final track, Bionic is an exclusive track to this EP that will not appear on the forthcoming long player.
