French electronic mastermind D-R-U-N-K and Australia’s rising star, DISTRAKT release their debut EP, “High Speed” via Green Fetish Records this September. Melding together an unstoppable force of pulsating, raw industrial electronica not for the faint hearted; “High Speed” looks set to knock the socks off the most ardent clubber. This is music with a health warning.
D-R-U-N-K is the solo project of rebellious French contemporary sound innovator, Oly Grasset. He is widely known in the music industry as the French half of the industrial techno duo MOTOR (CLR/Novamute) who have released 4 albums and numerous remixes including Marilyn Manson’s “Personal Jesus” and Depeche Mode’s “Precious“.
The typical Distrakt sound has cracked sound barriers and traveled across from Australia to knock the socks of crowds across Europe and the United States. Simon Worthington, better known as Distrakt, made his debut as a DJ back in 2006. Since then he has been perfecting his own unique brand of dark and sinister electro/techno, not just as a DJ but also as an active producer.
